So, GC, the WWI sequence is unreal...with Hugh doing the recollection of all the brits, by nicknames, that "bought it" going over the top!

And, then, the ending of that one, with them doing the same is poignant.

Then, there is the discussion of "licking the Germans" with the all time great miscommunication response: "I wouldn't like a German if he was glazed in honey!" said to Darling, if I recall...

yes!

The only thing that made me laugh harder was the classic "Faulty Towers" episode with the German hotel visitors.

"Whatever you do, don't mention the war...I mentioned it once but I think i got away with it..."
